After Sheeran Ouster: Macklemore Plans "Free Palestine" Tour

TVS News AI, editorially supervised, presents After Sheeran Ouster: Macklemore Plans "Free Palestine" Tour.

An ouster becomes a starting signal: US rapper Macklemore, removed from Ed Sheeran's ongoing "Loop Tour" for pro-Palestinian statements, is now announcing his own concert series – the "Free Palestine Tour." Anyone who has followed the dispute of recent weeks gets a surprising turn.

What was previously just a tour dispute is now becoming its own project. According to Der Spiegel, Macklemore had been excluded from Sheeran's tour because he had made pro-Palestinian statements. Instead of stepping back, the rapper is now striking back with his own concert initiative.

What's confirmed so far – and what's still missing

As Focus reports, Macklemore doesn't want to perform the concerts alone: he is planning appearances together with other artists. The proceeds from the shows are to be donated – to whom exactly does not emerge from the available reports. Dates, cities, and ticket information are also not mentioned by either Spiegel or Focus so far.

What is confirmed according to the two reports: the tour title, the donation character, and the principle of performing with several acts. What remains open: the full line-up, the schedule, and the recipients of the donations.

The conflict between Sheeran and Macklemore

According to Spiegel, Sheeran had apparently distanced himself from Macklemore's political positions and subsequently removed him from the tour. Macklemore is now turning the ouster into his own statement – and transforming the tour dismissal into a new concert series with a clear message.
