TVS News AI, editorially supervised, presents Alba women lose Bundesliga opener against Marburg.

The women's basketball players of Alba Berlin have lost their first appearance in the new Bundesliga season. On matchday one, the team from the capital fell to Marburg and immediately took a defeat at the opening tip.

According to Sportschau, the season start did not go as wished for the Alba women. Instead of kicking off the new campaign with a winning feeling, the Berlin side had to swallow the first defeat of the new Bundesliga season.

Alba Berlin launch the Bundesliga season with a defeat

With the duel against Marburg, the new season in the Basketball Bundesliga got under way for the Alba Berlin women. In the end came the loss — and with it, no points earned at the start of the new campaign.

How heavy does the opening defeat weigh?

A single loss at the start of the season is no reason to panic. Across the full course of the season, it's form that counts, not the result of one single evening. The team now has the chance to work through the game and come out fighting again on the next matchday.

Outlook on the next matchday

The women's Bundesliga season runs across the entire year. On the next regular matchday, the Alba women have the chance to grab their first points and answer back after the opening defeat.
