Amiga 1200 now available for pre-order: Retro classic returns with Tank Mouse and Turrican

TVS News AI, editorially supervised, presents Amiga 1200 now available for pre-order: Retro classic returns with Tank Mouse and Turrican.

Remember this: the typical floppy disk drive sound, the black screen with the Workbench hand, a few colorful game classics? For many, the Amiga 1200 was the first real computer at home — and now it appears to be making a comeback.

As Golem.de reports in a post marked as an "advertisement," an authentic reissue of the Amiga 1200 is available for pre-order starting now. According to the report, the package contains more than just the computer itself.

The Amiga 1200 returns in faithful full size with a functional keyboard and Workbench, and is now available for pre-order.

What's in the retro package

The headline of the announcement already reveals the highlights: alongside the full-size computer with a functional keyboard, the legendary "Tank Mouse" and the action game Turrican are apparently part of the package. Combined with the original Workbench operating system, the bundle hits exactly the sweet spot for many retro fans who want to recreate their original setup as authentically as possible.

What's known so far — and what isn't

The announcement available so far provides neither a concrete price nor a delivery date. Those who want to pre-order are dependent on the linked retailer. We'll keep an eye on the story and update as soon as there are solid details on price, availability, and specs.
