ARC Raiders and The Finals: Films and Series Are Planned

TVS News AI, editorially supervised, presents ARC Raiders and The Finals: Films and Series Are Planned.

Two games from Embark Studios are set to be adapted into films: ARC Raiders and The Finals. This is reported by Eurogamer.de. According to the report, plans are underway for both film and series adaptations of both titles.

For the production, the studio is working with Chernin Entertainment, a production company that brings experience with major franchise projects. According to Eurogamer.de, the makers of The Backrooms – a viral internet horror concept – are also involved in the projects.

What has been officially confirmed so far?

The news is still fresh. There are no official details on cast, release date, format, or streaming partner yet. It is also not entirely clear from the announcement so far what specific role the Backrooms creators will take on.

Why Chernin Entertainment?

Chernin Entertainment is a production company that specializes in bringing major brands to the screen. That Embark Studios is bringing in professional outside support for the adaptation of its own games is a logical step – very few game studios have their own film division.

What does this mean for you as a player?

Adaptations of this scale typically take several years. Until ARC Raiders or The Finals actually appear on the big screen or on streaming, the message for you is: play the games themselves for now. As soon as further details become official, we'll keep you updated here.
