Baki on Netflix: Bad Story, Still Rewatched Multiple Times

TVS News AI, editorially supervised, presents Baki on Netflix: Bad Story, Still Rewatched Multiple Times.

There are anime where you just need brutal fights – the story is secondary. MeinMMO editor Nikolas Hernes recommends a specific Netflix series for exactly those moments. His honest take: The story is among the worst you'll find in any anime – and yet he's watched it multiple times.

Which Netflix anime is he talking about?

He's talking about Baki, an anime series that runs exclusively on Netflix. This is clear from the title and URL of the MeinMMO article. The recommendation fits the profile: a Netflix anime for anyone who just wants to switch off while watching.

Why the story is so weak

Herné's verdict on the plot is harsh: the story is among the worst you'll find in any anime. Characters, depth, twists – everything that makes a good story is missing here. That sounds like a clear reason to switch the series off right away. But it isn't. Because this very reduction to the essentials is what makes Baki so beginner-friendly: you need no prior knowledge, no background, no thinking along.

Why it's still worth it

Despite the weak story, Herné has watched the anime multiple times. The reason is obvious: if you just want to see brutal fights without fighting your way through a complicated plot, Baki is exactly right. For anyone looking for action in the evening without having to focus on a story, this is the optimal dose of entertainment.

Who is Baki worth it for?

The anime is not for purists who value story and character depth. But if you want to switch off in the evening without having to follow a complex plot, Baki is worth a look. Try an episode – you'll know within the first few minutes whether you stick with it or move on.

Conclusion

Baki is not an anime you watch for the plot. But for anyone who, like Herné, just needs some brutal fights again, the Netflix series is optimal. Try an episode and decide for yourself whether you, like the MeinMMO editor, keep going back to it.
