HBO Renews Sharon Horgan’s “Youth” for a Second Season

TVS News AI, editorially supervised, presents HBO Renews Sharon Horgan’s “Youth” for a Second Season.

The second season of “Youth” has been confirmed — less than 24 hours after the first-season finale. For fans of the comedy, that means the story surrounding Sharon Horgan’s literary agent Alex does not end with the conclusion of the first season.

HBO has announced the renewal of Sharon Horgan’s latest series. The announcement came shortly after the series finale and shows that the network wants to continue with “Youth.”

HBO Bets on Sharon Horgan’s “Youth”

“Youth” has found its home at HBO: The network has commissioned a second season of the comedy. According to Variety, the first season is currently available on HBO Max.

The series is Horgan’s latest project. She has received Peabody and BAFTA Awards. The network is betting on a creator who has already proved successful.

Alex Remains at the Center

Sharon Horgan will return as Alex in the second season. The literary agent is a divorced 50-year-old looking for sex and love. At the same time, she has to care for her aging parents and support her son, who is struggling with his new degree.

Her personal conflict therefore remains the central driving force: Relationships, family and the search for a self-determined life remain part of “Youth’s” DNA.

The Renewal Comes Immediately After the Finale

Deadline reports that the decision on a second season came less than 24 hours after the first-season finale. The Hollywood Reporter likewise describes the timing as immediately following the finale. The sources therefore do not contradict each other.

The available reports do not provide a specific air date, production start or scope for the new season. For now, only one thing is certain: “Youth” is getting another round.

As of: 2026/11, further details to follow.
