Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: What even Martin readers don't know

TVS News AI, editorially supervised, presents Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: What even Martin readers don't know.

You prefer the books over the spin-off because you already know what happens? With Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, that won't do you any good in Season 2. George R.R. Martin personally handed showrunner Ira Parker unpublished scripts for the new season — readers who know his books by heart are still supposed to be surprised.

According to GameStar, the screenplays come from Martin's own collection and had not previously been published, either as novels or as scripts. The Game of Thrones creator is thus providing material that goes beyond the previously known Westeros source material and flows directly into the second season of the spin-off.

What you won't find in the books in Season 2

The report does not name any specific content. What's certain is only this: anyone watching Season 2 will see scenes that don't appear in any Martin book. Those who are usually ahead with the series' book are doing the reverse this time.

Who's making Season 2?

Ira Parker remains on board as showrunner and is adapting the new material. George R.R. Martin is closely involved as creator of the source material — this time not just as licensor, but directly as script provider. How much of the unpublished material actually makes it to the screen, the report leaves open.

What's still missing

The GameStar report provides no concrete details on cast, start of filming, or air date. It therefore remains unclear when fans will actually get to see the unpublished scripts on screen.
