Leeloo (Star Academy 2026): Her Father François Pirette Has Already Stood Alongside Michel Drucker, Adamo and Merckx

TVS News AI, editorially supervised, presents Leeloo (Star Academy 2026): Her Father François Pirette Has Already Stood Alongside Michel Drucker, Adamo and Merckx.

Leeloo is a 2026 candidate on Star Academy — and her family background packs a punch. According to a report in the French magazine Closer, her father François Pirette was already appearing alongside TV icon Michel Drucker, chanson singer Salvatore Adamo and cycling legend Eddy Merckx before the current season.

Closer puts it this way:

Bien avant la Star Academy de Leeloo, François Pirette apparaissait aux côtés de Michel Drucker, Salvatore Adamo ou Eddy Merckx.

In English: Long before the new season, Pirette was already appearing in illustrious company.

François Pirette Between Drucker, Adamo and Merckx

Sitting beside a Michel Drucker doesn't just happen in passing. It shows that François Pirette is no newcomer to the Francophone media scene. The names mentioned link Belgium and France — from the Parisian talk-show stage to the Flemish racing epic.

The "cérémonie marquante" with Adamo, Merckx and Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt

One particular gala stands out in the Closer report: a "cérémonie marquante" — a remarkable ceremony. There, François Pirette stood next to three stars from completely different worlds: singer Salvatore Adamo, former racing cyclist Eddy Merckx, and writer Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt. Chanson, cycling, literature — and right in the middle, the father of a current TV candidate.

Exactly what was being honored and when this gala took place, the Closer piece does not reveal. What is certain: for François Pirette, it was apparently an evening one remembers.

What Leeloo Brings to the Star Academy

For Leeloo, this means she is not coming out of nowhere. Anyone who grows up as the daughter of a father who stands at galas beside Michel Drucker, Salvatore Adamo and Eddy Merckx brings a different understanding of stage and media than most of the other candidates. How much of a role this background will play in the current season will be revealed as the show continues.
