Metaphor: ReFantazio: Switch 2 demo is here – but only in certain regions

TVS News AI, editorially supervised, presents Metaphor: ReFantazio: Switch 2 demo is here – but only in certain regions.

Switch 2 players can now get a taste of Atlus' role-playing game Metaphor: ReFantazio – provided they live in one of the regions where Nintendo has officially released the demo. As US magazine Polygon reports, the preview is available immediately.

For you, that means: anyone who owns a Switch 2 and wants to test Atlus's role-playing game before buying the full version now has the chance – if the eShop cooperates. Which regions exactly are approved for the demo is not clear from the report so far.

What's known about the demo so far

Polygon refers in its report to "certain regions." What that concretely means: the download only appears in the eShop where Nintendo has officially enabled it. Whether Germany, Austria and Switzerland are included cannot be discerned from the reporting so far.

What you can do now

Got your Switch 2 in your hand right now and looking for a new game? Then it's worth checking the eShop: if the demo is available there, you can download it and jump right in. If it doesn't show up, your region either isn't included in the first release window or the rollout is still underway. Further details about the demo – such as play time or what content it covers – are not mentioned in the report so far.
