Saint-Jacques crushes Évron 5:0 – and advances to the 6th round of the Coupe de France

TVS News AI, editorially supervised, presents Saint-Jacques crushes Évron 5:0 – and advances to the 6th round of the Coupe de France.

Clear affair in the 5th round of the Coupe de France: AS Saint-Jacques put five past the lower-division side Évron from the Mayenne department on Sunday (11 October), running out emphatic 5:0 winners and booking their place in the 6th round. For the R2 club, the cup remains – for now at least – a happy hunting ground.

Saint-Jacques normally play in R2 (Régionale 2), while Évron compete a division below – so on paper, exactly the kind of setup in which a cup win would hardly come as a surprise. Even so, the size of the victory is emphatic.

An hour of control – then the substitutes struck

As Ouest-France reports, Saint-Jacques had the first hour completely under control. But the real damage was done once the coach brought on fresh legs: the substitutes who came on made the difference on Sunday and set the goal spree in motion.

A commanding 5:0 – and now the next round awaits

In the end, a 5:0 scoreline – a result that, according to Ouest-France, needs no further discussion. For AS Saint-Jacques, it means a place in the 6th round of the Coupe de France, where the next opponent still has to be drawn.
