Criminal Minds: Evolution: Finale After Season 20?

TVS News AI, editorially supervised, presents Criminal Minds: Evolution: Finale After Season 20.

20 seasons, back on Paramount+ in 2022 – and now the end: Paramount+ will end “Criminal Minds: Evolution” for now after the upcoming Season 20, Variety has learned.

For fans, this means the story will initially be brought to a close with Season 20. No concrete start date has been set for the final season, but the network plans to begin it in 2027.

What the End Means for the Series

The original series was already revived for its 16th season on Paramount+ after previously airing on a different streaming service. Since the move in 2022, it has also carried the formal title “Criminal Minds: Evolution,” as The Hollywood Reporter notes.

According to Variety, Season 19 aired between May and July. This therefore leaves a longer wait until the planned finale in 2027.

Decision Made Under New Paramount+ Leadership Team

Deadline reports that the decision was made only recently. It is the first official cancellation under the new Paramount+ leadership team.

The important qualification here is “for now”: The sources point to an end to the current run, but not necessarily to a permanent departure of the franchise from Paramount+. A continuation in a different format or on a different platform has not been announced in the available reports.

Status: 2026, further details to follow.
