OpenAI is rebuilding ChatGPT. A new interface called Intelligent UI is meant to turn what were previously purely text-based answers into interactive diagrams, buttons and small tools – powered by the model GPT-6, which, according to several tech portals, is also making its way into the free plan. You don't need to install anything – when you open ChatGPT, the look may change within the next few days.
What the Intelligent UI can actually do
Expansion, ADSLZone and DiarioBitcoin report consistently that the new interface can display selected answers not only as flowing text, but also as charts, buttons and interactive graphics. With this, OpenAI is responding to a well-known weakness of many chatbot answers: as soon as comparisons, calculations or workflows come into play, pure blocks of text feel needlessly clunky.
According to DiarioBitcoin, the update additionally highlights "progressive answers" – responses that build up on the screen bit by bit – along with improvements to web search and adjustments to the safety filters.
GPT-6 – or actually GPT-5.6 Sol?
The tech media uniformly write about GPT-6 as the new top model – from Expansion to MSN to ADSLZone and DiarioBitcoin. On OpenAI's own Spanish-language page, however, the name "GPT-5.6 Sol" appears. There it states that one billion people use ChatGPT every week; GPT-5.6 Sol is tailored to that range – from quick questions and web search to planning, research and complex decisions. There is no official confirmation of the "GPT-6" designation by OpenAI in the available sources. Which model name ultimately applies cannot be determined from the sources – in the chat window you can usually see which model is currently active.
Sol, Luna and a new Voice
Itsitio reports that OpenAI has announced two model variants with the code names "Sol" and "Luna" – Sol more for classic dialogues, Luna more strongly for creative or longer tasks. In parallel, ChatGPT Voice is reportedly getting new features that allow external apps to be linked and controlled via voice command.
How the rollout works for you
According to ADSLZone, the update arrives automatically and in stages. You'll recognize the new look by the fact that answers suddenly contain buttons, selection menus or diagrams that you click directly in the chat window – with no new app or browser extension required. If nothing has changed for you yet, the sources say this is not a bug, but part of the staggered rollout.
