KPop Demon Hunters comes to Toca Boca World: Netflix collab launches October 27

TVS News AI, editorially supervised, presents KPop Demon Hunters comes to Toca Boca World: Netflix collab launches October 27.

Imagine your child becoming part of the K-Pop band Huntr/x – not just on stream, but in an app they shape themselves. On October 27, Toca Boca World, a storytelling gaming app for kids, launches an exclusive in-game collaboration with Netflix around the animated hit KPop Demon Hunters. The idea: from viewer to idol – at least in their own Toca world.

The callout to young fans is direct:

Game on, Huntr/x fans!

The announcement frames it as an invitation to live out your "inner idol." What exactly happens when the collab goes live has only been teased in the first announcement: stylized depictions – meaning the characters aren't taken 1:1 from the film, but translated into Toca's signature look. What kids can do with the characters in the app has not been revealed by Variety so far.

What is Toca Boca World?

Toca Boca World is, according to Variety, a storytelling gaming app for kids. Instead of high scores and level-ups, the focus is on freely telling stories – kids build scenes, step into roles, and invent their own little dramas. That makes the app more digital toy than classic game.

What is KPop Demon Hunters?

KPop Demon Hunters is, according to Variety, an animated Netflix hit. At the center is the fictional K-Pop band Huntr/x – the film title combines K-Pop glitz and demon hunting in a single breath. The current report doesn't reveal more about the plot, however.

What does this mean for you as a parent?

If your child already knows KPop Demon Hunters, Toca Boca World will get a lot more interesting from October 27. What the collab specifically contains – that is, how many characters, which sets and which scenarios will be available – the initial Variety report left open. More details are likely to follow once Toca Boca and Netflix release them.
